Sustainable Assortments

Our approach to sustainable butons spans nine categories, everything from sustainable raw materials to recycled products to opportunities to make the production process more environmentally-friendly. Our belief is a holistic and well-rounded approach to sustainability.

ECO-GREEN

Natural Organic Products

The eco-green category includes all products made

from natural raw materials that are certified organic and sustainable, such as corozo nuts from South America, bamboo from China, and coconuts from Southeast Asia. All raw materials are legally purchased and are primarily the by-product waste from other industries. For instance we use the leftover coconut shells from coconut water industries and leftover bamboo from the furniture industry.

- Corozo Nut

- Coconut

- Bamboo

ECO-NATURAL

The eco-natural category includes products that are naturally grown, organically harvested, and legally acquired for use. This includes shells, a popular material used in buttons. Without disrupting the ecosystem, our shells are legally purchased from farmers abiding by our predetermined quotas. We do not purchase shells from the wild that are in their natural ecosystem. Most importantly, the shells used for production are natural waste from other productions, such as the pearl industry.

- River Shell

- Akoya Shell

- Trocas Shell

- White MOP

- Black MOP

ECO-PLUS

Recycled Natural Materials

The first of our three recycled categories, eco plus focuses on recycled natural products that include recycled shells and recycled coconuts. In an innovative new category, we have given a second life to these products versus pulling from additional natural resources. This includes the usage of leftover natural materials from the production phase, as well as the repurposing of old natural products, which makes all these products biodegradable.

- Recycled cotton fibers
- Recycled cork
- Recycle seeds, weed, and dried flower + Recycled wood pulp
- Recycled vegetable fiber
- Recycled corozo powder
- Recycled wood sheet and wood dust + Recycled shell granule
- Recycled paper
- Wood-Plastic Composite (WPC)
- Caesin
- Eco-Leather
- Recycled Salpa Leather

ECO-ADVANCED

Recycled GRS Materials

Our second of three recycle materials, eco advanced, focuses on recycled man-made and artificial products collected from landfills and junk yards, which includes recycled PET. Products that are consumer waste, having already served a lifetime, are now entering the lifecycle again. Since these products may or may not be biode- gradable, they hold a stronger importance because we are repurposing consumer waste into new products for consumer use.

- Recycled PET (Polyethylene Terephthalate)

ECO-BASIC

Recycle Non-Natural Material

Our third of three recycling categories, eco-basic, focuses on leftover recycled man made material and artificial products from the production phase. With repurposing scrap materials from factories into new products, which would otherwise be a waste to landfills, these recycled products have not served a lifetime and are given their first life. However, they originate from production and manufacturing waste.

- Recycled polyester resin
- Recycled polyester resin granule

- Recycled polyester with cork dust

- Recycled urea-formaldehyde
- Recycled polyester powder
- Recycled nylon

Eco-Pure

Biodegradable Collection

Biodegradable products are made of materials that will naturally decompose in landfills. Being environmentallyfriendly, these products have a string of benefits since the material can break down relatively quickly in comparison to imperishable materials that can take years to decompose. Most importantly, biodegradable materials ensure no harmful chemicals and pollutants are left behind while saving landfill space. Plastic that has been treated with “Biodegradable- Ingredients BDI accelerates the biodegradation of treated plastic in microbe rich environments. Once the microbes have colonized on the plastic they secrete acids that break down the polymer chain. Microbes utilize the carbon backbone of the polymer chain as an energy source. Ingredients create an opportunity for microbes to utilize plastic as food.”

ECO-MADE

Environmental- Friendly Production Process

Through environmental-friendly manufacturing techniques, eco-production focus on reducing electricity, water, and labor. The outcome is eliminating high usage of chemicals and pollutants. As a result, this reduces the exposure to harmful conditions for employees are susceptible to while involved in the manufacturing phase.

- Natural dyes
- Vacuum-plating
- Zero chemical treatment process

- Natural color finish
- Hand-made
- Eco-friendly made process

ECO-UPCYCLED

Repurpose and reuse

Our last and most exciting category, eco-upcycled, reuses and repurposes old buttons into new buttons. Using natural dyes, assembling, and new finishes we produce new buttons with the use of old buttons. Since upcycling buttons are all existing buttons from the start of the production phase, there are extreme environmental benefits.

- Button replacement

- Assembled buttons

- Logo removal
- Overlay buttons

- Cufflinks

- New finish

ECO-OCEAN

Recycled Ocean Plastic Products

Our newest category is eco-ocean, comprised of products made from recycled ocean plastic. The recycled ocean plastic is compiled from the Pacific Ocean on the coasts of California, and we repurpose the ocean plastic into buttons. It is a great opportunity to give a second life to the discarded plastic, while helping to clean up our oceans, which are heavily polluted.
